A metered pay-wall system has been set up for those who want to read articles online in the New York Times-owned newspaper The Telegram & Gazette in Worcester, Mass, the NY Times reports.
According to ther article, readers can "view 10 local news articles per month free. Once they reach that threshold, they will be able to buy a variety of online subscriptions, ranging from a $14.95 monthly pass to a $1 day pass. Subscribers to the paper’s print edition will not be charged any extra to read articles online."
The New York Times itself has said it will go to some pay model for its online content early in 2011. The company has not said how similar its pay-wall may be.
