An Oscar-winning actress who also nabbed an Emmy nomination for her guest role on NBC’s "Law & Order: SVU" is returning the crime drama to reprise her character, reports TV Guide.
Marcia Gay Hardin has played Dana Lewis, an undercover FBI agent, in guest spots on the show since 2005, each time crossing paths with Mariska Hargitay’s Det. Olivia Benson.
Hardin is expected to be in episode No. 8 of the new season, which is likely to air in early 2011.
Hardin won an Oscar for “Pollock” in 2001.
