An exchange between Whoopi Goldberg and "Real Housewives of D.C." star and alleged White House gate crasher Michaele Salahi during an Aug. 3 taping of "The View" is turning into another odd incident, reports People.com.
Goldberg walked on the set and touched Salahi’s arm to try to get her focused on tailing about the White House incident, the story says. But afterwards, Salahi and her husband complained to producers about the experience, calling it "humiliating and torturous."
“The first encounter I had with this woman is her grabbing my arm and telling me to change the subject,” Salahi told People.com. But after the interview, Goldberg came up to Salahi and confronted her about complaining over their interaction."Whoopi came in and said ‘Did you [expletive] say that I hit you?’ " Salahi says.
ABC issued a statement saying Salahi’s accusation of Goldberg hitting her was "completely unfounded and erroneous." According to People.com, Salahi says she didn’t use the word "hit," but only described Goldberg as grabbing her.
