Fox has yet to confirm it, but sources are reporting that a veteran rock singer has signed the deal to make him an "American Idol" judge, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The rocker is Steven Tyler, lead singer of the band Aerosmith. Despite the fact that he’s 62 years old, Tyler’s rock ‘n’ roll credentials make him a good choice for the hit show, according to insiders.
