Another Syndie Test by Debmar-Mercury: ‘Nanny’ Star to See if Daytime Talk Show Works, Starting After Thanksgiving

Yes, it’s Fran Drescher, the star of the ‘Nanny" who will be testing a syndicated daytime talk-show for three weeks, starting the day after Thanksgiving, reports Joe Adalian at New York Magazine’s Vulture blog. 

The Fran Drescher show is from syndicator Debmar-Mercury, who has signed a deal for the test run with Fox-owned television stations in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Orlando and

The show will go national if viewers like the test, the story says, which notes that a three-week test isn’t all that short these days. Debmar-Mercury’s show starring Wendy Williams, for example, started with a trial run on Fox stations, it points out.
