A former "American Idol" judge and a popular female singer have landed roles on a new reality competition series, reports People magazine.
Kara DioGuardi, a former judge on “Idol” who is also a professional composer, will be the head judge on the new songwriting competition program "Going Platinum," on Bravo. Pop star Jewel will host the show and will also serve as a judge.
In a statement, DioGuardi said, "I am happy to be a part of a show that helps up-and-coming songwriters pursue their dreams, while giving the public a look into the creative process."
The series is slated for a Bravo premiere in 2011.
