The Country Network (TCN) announced today that it has begun broadcasting in 10 major markets, including Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Nashville.
TCN, which airs country music videos, recently signed its first major affiliation agreement, with Sinclair Broadcast Group. The network said it expects to have all 10 stations carried by the majority of cable systems in their DMAs within 90 days.
The stations are WUCW-TV, Minneapolis; KDNL-TV, St. Louis; WPGH-TV, Pittsburgh, WLFL-TV, Raleigh, N.C.; WBFF-TV, Baltimore; WNAB-TV, Nashville; WCGV-TV, Milwaukee; KABB-TV, San Antonio; WTTO-TV, Birmingham, Ala.; and WXLV-TV, Greensboro, N.C.
TCN expects to add another 18 Sinclair markets in the next several weeks, with six more stations scheduled to join early next year.
