Fox Ratings Hurt in New York by Cablevision Blackout; No Imminent Deal Between Fox and Cablevision Seen

Fox’s ratings for this week’s "House" in New York plunged amid the network’s blackout for Cablevision viewers in that city and Philadelphia, reports MediaDailyNews

"House" had a 0.8 rating among 18- to 49-year-olds, down 67% from the week before the blackout, the story notes. "Glee" on Tuesday, meanwhile, posted a 1.3 rating in the same demo in New York, also down by 67%, the story says.

But this week’s episode of "Glee" was a repeat, so some decline would have been anticipated, it notes. Cablevision provides TV service to about 43% of the 7.5 million homes in the New York market, the story says.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there’s still no sign of a deal between Fox and Cablevision in their retransmission dispute.
