Premium cable network HBO has made announcements that it is canceling one show and renewing two others, according to reports.

“Big Love” will end after its fifth season–which starts in January– the network announced, according to Reuters. The polygamy show starring Bill Paxton has run its course, said creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer.

Meanwhile, HBO is renewing comedies "Bored to Death" and "Eastbound & Down" for their third seasons, Deadline.com reports. The former, which stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis, has been a modest hit for HBO, with 1.1 million average total viewers, but has done well enough to garner some buzz.

"Eastbound & Down" has better numbers than "Bored," averaging 1.7 million viewers, which is a huge jump–150%–from the show’s series premiere.
