The ratings for Fox’s broadcast of the National League Championship Series game between the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants were good, but the numbers from the other networks reveal a strong showing for CBS’s "Criminal Minds" and ABC’s "Modern Family," according to TVbytheNumbers.com.
At 8 p.m. CBS’s "Survivor" had a 3.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic, compared with the first hour of the baseball game, which had a 2.7. ABC’s "The Middle" and "Better With You" collected a 2.6 rating and a 2.1, respectively, in the 18-49 demo, while NBC’s "Undercovers" had a 1.5. That was a little better than CW’s "America’s Next Top Model," which had a 1.3.
"Modern Family" at 9 p.m. had a 4.7 rating in adults 18-49, paired with "Cougar Town," which had a 3.1 in the bottom of the hour. CBS’s "Criminal Minds" had a 3.6, which was a full point better than NBC’s "Law & Order: SVU’s" 2.6. That was the same number the Fox game logged for the hour.
At 10 p.m. the Fox baseball broadcast led with a 2.8 in the 18-49 demo, which was better than NBC’s "Law & Order: LA" with a 2.4. CBS’s "The Defenders," which had a 2.2, was third, well ahead of ABC’s "The Whole Truth’s" 1.4.
