MTV said it’s canceling one if its new series, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
The canceled show is "The City," starring Whitney Port. It’s a spinoff of the network’s popular show "The Hills," which ended its run last season.
The show survived two seasons on MTV, and while it developed a stable following, it failed to live up to the ratings set by its predecessor, the article notes. Meanwhile, "The Hills" co-star Lauren Conrad has begun taping a new show for MTV, the story says.
