A reverse version of the classic television show "Three’s Company" — this time featuring three guys and one girl — has been picked up by Fox, reports our friend and former TVWeeker James Hibberd in The Hollywood Reporter.

The show tracks an optimistic Midwestern woman who moves into a New York apartment with three guys, the story says. The untitled project from Liz Meriwether, who wrote the romantic comedy "Friends with Benefits," is produced by 20th Century Fox TV in association with Chernin Entertainment, the story says.

Meriwether, Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope are among the project’s executive producers, the article adds.

  1. This basic premise has been tried before. It was called “We Got it Made” with Teri Copley in 1983 – 1984 NBC.
