Special Episode of ‘Glee’ Helps Lift Fox to Ratings Win

A special episode of Fox’s "Glee" was the highest-rated program of Tuesday night, but CBS’s "NCIS" continued to hold its own against it, according to TVbytheNumbers.com. Fox wound up No. 1 overall for the night in the 18-49 demo while CBS came out on top in total viewers.

At 8 p.m. Fox aired “Glee’s” tribute to “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” averaging a 4.8 rating in the 18-49 demo, while "NCIS" had a 3.9 rating and a 4.2 in the same demo for the top and bottom halves of the hour. NBC’s "The Biggest Loser" earned a mean score of 2.2 in the 18-49 demo and ABC’s "No Ordinary Family" trailed with a 2.0 average rating in the 18-49 demo for the hour.

At 9 p.m. CBS’s "NCIS: LA" was tops with a 3.4 in the 18-49 demo, ahead of ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" results show, which had a 2.95 mean score in the 18-49 demo. The second hour of "The Biggest Loser" netted a 2.4 rating and a 2.7, respectively, for the top and bottom of the hour in the 18-49 demo. Fox’s two episodes of "Raising Hope" logged a 2.6 and a 2.3 in the 18-49 demo.

"The Good Wife" on CBS was the leader at 10 p.m. with a 2.4 average in the 18-49 demographic, while NBC’s "Parenthood" had a mean rating of 2.05 in that demo, just a bit ahead of ABC’s "Detroit 1-8-7." The ABC show had a 2.0 mean rating in the same demo.
