A report from analyst Rich Greenfield of BTIG Research estimates that Cablevision will lose 19% of its subscribers by next week, which may reach a defection rate of 37% by the end of November if nothing changes, reports our former colleague and still close friend Wayne Friedman at MediaDailyNews.
So far, Cablevision has lost perhaps 1% of its customers, according to Greenfield’s estimates. Most of them are switching to Verizon FiOS or DirecTV.
According to a survey conducted by the analyst, 28% of those he surveyed blamed Cablevision, while 25% blame Fox and 47% blame both companies.
More than one-third of Consumers say they’re missing the Major League Baseball playoffs, while 10% said they are missing "Glee."
