Team Behind ‘Gossip Girl’ Developing New Show For One of ‘Gossip’s’ Stars

The team behind the "Gossip Girl" series–Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz–are working on a series for one of the stars of "Girl," reports Joe Adalian at New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.

The show is being developed to feature Michelle Trachtenberg, the actress who plays Georgina Sparks on "Gossip Girl" and who also played Buffy’s little sister on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

Trachtenberg would play a criminology student with a dark past, in what Adalian describes as "Murder, She Wrote" crossed with "Profiler."

The actress reportedly came up with the idea for the untitled series and will serve as a producer on the hourlong show, the story says.

The pilot will be written by Stuart Zicherman, who formerly worked for J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, the story says.
