Two new animated pilot presentations have been ordered by Fox, one from Brad Neely about ill-equipped godparents and a second about a 12-year-old boy who splits his time between his divorced parents’ homes, Joe Adalian reports in New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.
Neely of "Godparents" was the creator of an unauthorized audio spoof of the "Harry Potter" films, the story notes. The animated project, which is also from animation veteran Tim Long of "The Simpsons," is about godparents who are forced to take care of their godchildren, the article says.
The story says the second project is called "Red Roofs" and that both are in early stages of development. It also notes that Fox is said to be considering about a half-dozen other animated projects, including one from Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison.
