AOL will debut half a dozen scripted Web video series in a deal with Michael Eisner’s Web studio, Vuguru, reports The New York Times.

The deal will allow AOL to place original video on its home page and Websites. Financial terms weren’t disclosed and the companies wouldn’t release details about the shows, the story says.

Earlier this week, AOL started a lunchtime show called "The One," produced by Next New Networks, and AOL will soon distribute "AOL Daybreak," from Ben Silverman’s studio Electus, the article notes.

Eisner said his studio’s comedies and dramas could be from 5 minutes to 20 minutes long. “These are shows that, in another form, could be on cable," he said.
