Lifetime, known for its weepy biopics based on true stories, is jumping into the thriller genre with "Close Quarters," reports Deadline.com’s Nellie Andreeva.

The TV movie will star Catherine Bell of "Army Wives" as a happy suburban mom who’s hiding her background as a special-operations agent, the story notes. When her husband is kidnapped, she has to rely on her past to save her husband and protect her daughter, the article notes. The film will showcase Bell’s martial-arts training, it adds.

Anthony Michael Hall will co-star as her husband and Mekhi Phifer will take the part of a special-ops agent she worked with in Afghanistan. The movie will be directed by Ernest Dickerson of "Dexter" and "The Wire," from a script by Jolene Rice and Adam Beason, it notes.
