IFC announced a slate of eight original shows in development  that demonstrate its "Always On. Slightly Off" brand–including a nonfiction series that tracks competitive facial-hair growing, says B&C.

"Whisker Wars" will follow a group of men from the National Beard and Mustache Championship in Bend, Ore., as they travel to the World Competition in Norway, the story notes. The program is produced by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia Company, executive produced by Thom Beers and Philip D. Segal and co-executive produced by Jeff Conroy.

Other shows include "Hard ‘N Phirm’s Musical Timehole," an animated series about the musical comedy duo Hard ‘N Phirm as they travel through time to help solve problems through the power of song; and "Chosen Guns," a scripted comedy about the ethnically diverse 90th precinct of Brooklyn, which employs "loser cops."
