Five major studios have ageed to foot the bill for a memorial on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, for slain publicist Ronni Chasen, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Says the article, "Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures have together committed to help foot the bill for a private gathering to be held after Chasen’s funeral Sunday."
The article does not mention the sixth major studio, the Walt Disney Co.
That five major studios would agree on this is a sign of how shaken the community is over the murder of the popular, well-respected publicist. TVWeek had appointments at two of the major studios this week, and virtually all anybody was talking about–or wanted to talk about–was the seemingly inexplicable murder of Chasen.
The article continues, "Invited guests will be given instructions for the invite-only post-memorial reception to be held on the Sony lot. "
