"The Glee Project," a reality show from Oxygen that will pick a winner to appear in a multi-episode guest-starring role in Fox’sGlee"’s third season, has set its open casting calls and requirements, reports the New York Times’ ArtsBeat blog.

To be eligible to take part, a contestant must be at least 18 years old but able to play a teen convincingly, the story notes. 

The open casting calls will be held in Chicago on Dec. 18 and 19 and in Dallas on Jan. 8 and 9.

The show’s producers will also reach out "through official industry channels" to tap "the next wave of professional performers," the story notes.
