The producer of ABC’s "This Week With Christiane Amanpour," Ian Cameron, has announced that he’s leaving the show, the AP reports.

Cameron, who is married to Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is leaving ABC News entirely after 13 years with the network, according to the story. Cameron says he wants to give up the weekend work for more regular hours.

David Westin, ABC News president, said Cameron has done an ‘outstanding’ job first with George Stephanopoulos anchoring "This Week" and then sticking around for Amanpour’s tenure.

  1. Too bad Ms Amanpour did not quit. She is eminently unqualified for the job. To wit:
Waves her hands more than a flagman on an aircraft carrier distracting from the speakers, filling the camera lense (with her hands & arms)
    Interrupts constantly
    Left-wing …gives little voice to G.Will
Why do we need a Brit accent on US show, (with a lisp at that)
Give us back Jake or Geo S or indeed anybody……guarantee the ratings will go down with her.
