A new animated pilot from ShadowMachine, which has been ordered by Comedy Central, is being planned as a showcase for animated shorts, reports Deadline.com.

The project will be an umbrella program in which a variety of original animated comedy shorts will be spotlighted in the hopes of launching some of them as full-length series, the story says.

Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico of ShadowMachine and “Saturday Night Live” veteran Tom Gianas are executive producing the pilot.
