‘Brrrricane’ Forces Postponement of Eagles-Vikings Game, Causes Hassles for TV News Reporters

Dec 27, 2010  •  Post A Comment

The East Coast blizzard is earning all kinds of cutesy nicknames, such as the "brrricane," but the result for TV is that Sunday’s Philadelphia Eagles-Minnesota Vikings game was postponed until Tuesday and local national TV news reporters and crews have been working overtime, reports TVNewser.com.

Several TV news people were stranded by the storm, with FBN’s Liz Claman anchoring her show from Los Angeles today and returning to New York on Tuesday, the story notes. CNN correspondent Jim Acosta suggested the term "brrrricane" because "snowpocalypse and snowmaggeden" are already dated.

The New York Giants, meanwhile, were stuck in Green Bay after losing to the Packers and weren’t expected to be able to return to New York until today, the story notes.
