Christmas Program Tops Thursday Night Ratings

Deadline.com reports that ABC’s rebroadcast of the Jim Carrey film "Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas" won Thursday night as the highest-rated program with viewers between the ages of 18 and 49.

‘The Grinch" earned a 2.1 rating with viewers between 18 to 49, while drawing 6.6 million viewers, the story notes. It was paired with the animated "Grinch," which ran for the half-hour before the movie and which earned a 2.0 rating with the demographic and 6.5 million viewers, the story says.

Fox tied for second place with CBS among viewers 18 to 49, with Fox’s game show "Million Dollar Money Drop" airing a two-hour block against CBS’ reruns of "The Big Bang Theory" and "The Mentalist."

Univision finished fourth while NBC was fifth with all comedy reruns, the article notes.
