Jane Lynch, who stars as Sue Sylvester on "Glee," will be taking on an animated role for an episode of Fox’s "The Simpsons," reports EW.com.

Lynch will play Homer Simpson’s new assistant at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, a woman named Roz who seems very nice but turns out to be undermining Homer with the goal of getting his job, the story says.

Lynch "can do edge, sweetness, and a mix of both,” said executive producer Al Jean. "“I’m just embarrassed we didn’t ask her before she was so successful because she’s funny in everything she does. We were very happy when she said yes.”

The episode is called "Replaceable You" and will air early next season, the article notes.
