The star of an MTV reality show who was jailed in a recent domestic violence incident didn’t stage her violent acts for the sake of the television show, according to paperwork filed by prosecutors and cited by RadarOnline.com.

Amber Portwood, the star of MTV’s "Teen Mom," was released from an Indiana prison earlier this week after entering a not guilty plea on Tuesday to several felony charges stemming from incidents with Gary Shirley, her daughter’s father, RadarOnline notes. Portwood allegedly admitted the violent incidents weren’t staged for MTV in front of her lawyer and after having being read her rights, the story says.

"She claimed the incidents were out of anger and were not staged for the reality show,” the paperwork states. The article says that a judge has ordered her to have no contact with Shirley.
