CBS has renewed its daytime show "The Talk" for the 2011-12 season, reports B&C.

The talk show debuted in October and is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini, who tend to view topics through the lens of motherhood, the article notes.

Marissa Jaret Winokur was originally on the show, but left after her "mom-on-the-street" segments weren’t given enough airtime, the story says.

"The Talk" has averaged 2.21 million viewers since its debut, with a 1.1 rating with women 25 to 54 years old and a 0.8 rating with women 18 to 49, it adds.
