David E. Kelley’s Comic Book Heroine Finds a TV Home

Despite reports that David E. Kelley’s new incarnation of "Wonder Woman" was grounded, one of the major broadcast networks has now given the thumbs up to Kelley’s pilot for the comic book heroine, reports Deadline.com.

The network is NBC, and it may be that the recent takeover by Comcast shook loose some money that wasn’t previously available at the network and made the deal happen.

The networks had all passed on "Wonder Woman" just weeks ago, but Kelley remained hopeful nonetheless. His version of the adventures of Diana Prince portrays her as a Hollywood-based professional, a “corporate executive and modern woman” who fights crime as Wonder Woman.
