Taking over John Forsythe’s role as the voice of Charlie in ABC’s reboot of "Charlie’s Angels" will be a veteran screen star and TV actor, reports Screenrant.com.
ABC has greenlighted the new incarnation of "Charlie’s Angels," resetting the show in Miami, and Robert Wagner will be the man who hires the Angels for the Charles Townsend Agency as detectives.
In keeping up with the times, Charlie’s communication is anticipated to include smartphones, Skype and tweets.
Wagner, who was nominated for an Emmy back in 1970 for his lead role in “It Takes a Thief” and starred opposite Stefanie Powers in “Hart to Hart” in the early 1980s, is now 80 years old. His career is still going strong, and he appeared in late 2010 as Michael Weatherly’s father on CBS’s "NCIS."
