Most folks in the national TV business, if they only know one research expert, it’s probably this media maven who recently left NBC after 41 years.

He’s Horst Stipp, who was NBC Universal’s  senior vice president of strategic insights & innovation and one of the smartest, most engergetic people you’ll ever meet.

Stipp, who has a Ph.D in Sociology from Columbia University, has joined the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) as executive vice president,  Global Business Strategy.

According to the ARF announcement, "The newly created position reflects the ARF’s commitment to the development of global advertising and marketing research and its international members."
