The ABC drama pilot "Grace" has tapped an Oscar-nominated film actor as the father of a dysfunctional family in the world of dance, reports EW.com’s Inside TV blog.

The actor is Eric Roberts, who was nominated for an Oscar for “Runaway Train” in 1986. Roberts also has two Golden Globe nominations, for “Runaway Train” and “Star 80.”

The show is from "Grey’s Anatomy" writer Krista Vernoff, who is producing along with Carrie Ann Inaba and Flody Suarez. Roberts will play Michael Grace, while Mia Michaels of "So You Think You Can Dance" will be the project’s choreographer, the story says.
