There’s been yet another case of an American journalist being attacked while covering the turmoil in the Middle East, reports The New York Times’ Media Decoder blog.
ABC News correspondent Miguel Marquez was beaten on Wednesday while covering protests in Bahrain, the story says. He wasn’t seriously injured, the article adds.
Marquez was filing a report from Bahrain’s capital, Manama, when he was hit with billy clubs and had his camera pulled away from him by what he called "a gang of thugs."
The attack comes after CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Christiane Amanpour were targeted by angry protesters in Cairo and CBS’s Lara Logan was beaten and sexually assaulted in Cairo.
