An unusual job listing on Apple’s Website again raises the question of whether the company is getting into the television manufacturing business, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Technology blog.

The job listing, for an "AC/DC power supply design engineer," says that the person would "work on the forefront of new power management designs and technologies … for Apple’s next generation Macintosh platforms spanning from notebook computers, desktop computers, servers, standalone displays and TV."

The story notes that Apple does have AppleTV, a product that’s designed to work with TVs, but that product is "decidedly different from a television" and more akin to Roku or the Boxee Box, the story says. It adds that Apple officials weren’t immediately available for comment. The Times adds "A shout-out goes to the blog9to5mac.com which was among the first to report the job listing."

TVWeek has previously reported on other speculation that Apple may get into the manufacturing of TV sets.
