Lindsay Lohan appears to be in hot water again, accused of shoplifting after a visit to a Venice, Calif., jewelry store, TMZ.com reports.

Lohan reportedly turned over an expensive piece of jewelry to authorities before they could serve a warrant to search her home. Lohan is said to be seen wearing the piece, a $2,500 necklace, in surveillance video taken shortly before the piece was found to be missing from the store.

The L.A. County District Attorney is reportedly examining evidence in the case after the owner of the store, Kamofie & Company, turned over the surveillance tape along with a photo that allegedly shows Lohan wearing the one-of-a-kind necklace. A source close to the case told TMZ that charges are “likely.”

  1. To quote Bugs Bunny, “What a maroon.”

  2. Maybe Paris Hilton put it in her purse.
