The star of "Veronica Mars" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is heading to Showtime for a lead role in a comedy pilot, reports Deadline.com.

It’s Kristen Bell, and she will play opposite the terrific Don Cheadle in the Showtime pilot "House of Lies." Bell will play Jeannie Van Der Hooven, an Ivy League-graduate who joins Cheadle’s firm.

Cheadle, according to the story, plays a successful but self-hating management consultant.
