Three girl-focused shows have been ordered to series by a major cable network,, including one starring Raven-Symone, the star of "That’s So Raven," reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.
All of the shows have been ordered by ABC Family. Raven-Symore, whose former series was a hit on sibling network Disney Channel, will play a young actress in New York City with a best friend who’s also a science geek, the story notes. The show is called "The Great State of Georgia."
"Switched at Birth," about two girls who are accidentally mixed up as infants and discover the mistake years later, will star Katie Leclerc and Vanessa Marano as teens, with Lea Thompson also in the cast.
The third series is called "The Nine Lives of Chloe King," based on a book series by Celia Thomson about a girl who learns she has special powers, the story notes. The main role will be played by Skyler Samuels. The three shows will debut later this year, although ABC Family didn’t announce specific dates, the article adds.
