Story Behind Sheen Giving ‘Exclusive’ Interviews to Both ABC and NBC

Charlie Sheen is continuing on his public interview roll, booking an interview with "Today" on Monday morning that NBC is touting as "exclusive," reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog

The only problem with the description is that ABC News says that Sheen had promised to give its network an exclusive for ABC’s Tuesday night interview, the story notes, quoting an ABC spokesperson: "

"’Charlie Sheen assured us that we would be the only sit-down television interview this weekend, but he changed his mind. He gave us the first interview, which was extensive and included tremendous access to his home, family and personal life."

According to the artcle, " ‘This was simply about hustle and hard work by our reporter Jeff Rossen,’ ‘Today’ executive producer Jim Bell emailed Show Tracker. ‘It’s a terrific get. Does spoiling the ABC ‘exclusive’ make it a little sweeter?’ he added. ‘You bet it does.’ "
