YouTube may be adding more live sports to the video site, as the Google-owned company is in talks with the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League, reports Bloomberg.

YouTube wants to add more live sports in the second half of 2011, with Google in talks with "most pro sports leagues" including the NBA, the NHL and most soccer leagues in Europe, according to a YouTube executive at Google’s Korean unit, the story says.

A representative for the NHL didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, while a spokesman for the NBA said, "“We’re pleased that YouTube recognizes the value of live sports," according to the article.
