Kenneth Mars, a comedic actor who made his mark in film and on television, died Saturday at age 75 of pancreatic cancer, Entertainment Weekly reported.
He was well-known for his roles in a number of Mel Brooks movies, including playing the Hitler-loving playwright in "The Producers" and the constable in "Young Frankenstein." Mars was also the nasty critic in the Barbra Streisand-Ryan O’Neal comedy "What’s Up, Doc?"
The character actor appeared on numerous television shows, too, including "Get Smart," "Gunsmoke" and "Malcolm in the Middle."
