CBS has announced that it is giving renewals to two reality shows, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Coming back for a third season will be "Undercover Boss," while "The Amazing Race" has been renewed for a 19th season.
"Undercover Boss" has been a strong performer for CBS, with an average of 12.3 million viewers watching this season, the story notes. The series has peeked at what goes on behind the scenes at companies such as Subway and DirecTV.
"The Amazing Race," meanwhile, was viewed by an average of 12 million viewers last fall, despite competition from NFL games on NBC. This spring, which marked its 18th cycle, the program has drawn an average of 10 million viewers.
