As the March 31 deadline loomed, Cox Communications and LIN TV reached a retransmission consent fight in principle, just five hours before the stations were set to go dark on Cox’s systems, reports Multichannel News.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. The retrans agreement covers LIN stations in cities including Providence, R.I., and Mobile, Ala., the story notes.

As previously reported, nine LIN TV stations were at risk of going dark if an agreement hadn’t been reached before the deadline.
