Exec Producers Leave CW Drama Project

The CW drama pilot "The Secret Circle" has lost executive producers Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, who have stepped down from the project, reports Deadline.com.

The pair were tapped to supervise writer Andrew Miller in developing the project based on a three-book series from "The Vampire Diaries" writer L.J. Smith, the story notes. In January, Kevin Williamson was tapped to rewrite Miller’s script, while also serving as executive producer and showrunner, the article says.

Craft and Fain stepped down because "the feel was that there was duplication of showrunner duties and too many bosses," the story says.
