A strong performance by “Glee” helped bring Fox a ratings win Tuesday night, as the network averaged a 3.4 rating in adults 18-49 for the night, TVbytheNumbers.com reported. That was better than NBC (2.3 average), CBS (2.1), Univision (1.5) and ABC (1.3). In total viewers, CBS got the win with an average of 11.7 million for the night to 8.6 million for Fox, 6.5 million for NBC, 4.7 million for ABC and 4.0 million for Univision.

At 8 p.m. "Glee"–boosted by a return appearance by Gwyneth Paltrow–logged the top numbers of the night, with a 4.6 average rating in the 18-49 demographic, topping NBC’s "The Biggest Loser," which had a 2.6 in the demo.

At 9 p.m. hour two of "The Biggest Loser" netted a 3.2 in the 18-49 demo, over Fox’s "Raising Hope" and "Traffic Light," which collected a 2.8 and a 1.5, respectively, in the same demo. ABC’s "V" trailed with a 1.7 in the 18-49 demo.

The 10 p.m. hour had only one new show, ABC’s "Detroit 1-8-7" which scored a 1.1 in the 18-49 demo, finishing behind reruns of “The Good Wife” on CBS and “Parenthood” on NBC.
