"Two and a Half Men" co-creator Chuck Lorre has hired Hollywood litigator Howard Weitzman and a team from Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert to handle the Charlie Sheen imbroglio, reports The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq. blog.
Weitzman was hired by Lorre in the past week and has been in talks with attorneys at Warner Bros. on strategies for handling the legal battle over Sheen’s firing from the program, the story notes.
Sheen blames Lorre for getting him fired from the sitcom, and has plans to sue both Warner Bros. and Lorre personally, the story notes.
Sheen’s attorney is claiming Warner Bros. breached its contract with the actor by suspending and then firing him, it adds.
Weitzman was on the original O.J. Simpson legal team and has worked for other stars such as Courtney Love and the Kardashians, the article says.
