Mar 7, 2011  •  Post A Comment

"[Mark] Cuban confirmed Sunday evening that he’s had several conversations with [Charlie] Sheen recently about developing programming for HDNet, the cable network Cuban owns," writes Tim MacMahon at ESPN’s website.

Cuban, who also owns the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA, continued, "You’ve got somebody that everybody has a whole lot of interest in who’s doing some interesting things, to say the least, and we always look for interesting programming by featuring interesting people doing interesting things. I reached out and we’ve had some conversations, and we’re going to work on doing some things."

Cuban said Sheen could star in a talk show or a reality show for HDNet, but a final decision hasn’t been made. He told MacMahon, ""We’re trying to decide. Right now, we’re taping a lot of different things that he’s doing and we’ll try to figure it out. It’s still not 100 percent certain. We’ll do something together, but it’s not certain it will be a show. It’ll come down to what he wants do and what his situation is. We’ll just figure it out from there, but it’s a unique opportunity, I’ll say that."

Cuban’s HDNet also sponsored a 50-minute rambling talk show call "Sheen’s Korner" that Charlie did on Saturday night, March 5th, 2011 at UStream.tv. Please click here to read our story about that show and read Cuban’s comments about it.
