A video producer has been purchased by Google’s YouTube for an undisclosed sum, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

The video producer is Next New Networks, whose videos on Websites such as Hungry Nation have drawn more than 2 billion views, the story notes.

Next New Networks will be used as an incubator for a new group of semi-professional video makers, the story says.

YouTube executive Tom Pickett notes that hundreds of videographers already receive six-figure annual paychecks from the ads that appear next to their YouTube videos, the story says.
