The rumor that Rob Lowe will be replacing Charlie Sheen on CBS’ "Two and a Half Men" is untrue, says "Parks and Recreation" executive producer Michael Schur, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That’s because Lowe has a "multiyear contract" to remain on the NBC comedy, Schur noted at a panel at PaleyFest on Wednesday night. He added that "there’s no truth" to the talk that Lowe would step in for Sheen, who was fired from the job on Monday, and said, "The Internet lit a match and set itself on fire," the story says.

Lowe wasn’t on the panel because he was visiting colleges with his kids, Schur added.
