A widely recognized singer-actress says she has been approached to be a judge on Simon Cowell’s "The X Factor," Women’s Wear Daily reports.
"They have definitely talked to me about ‘X Factor,’” Jessica Simpson told the publication. “I think it would be a lot of fun. It’s definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley."
The story notes that despite challenges such as being teased for her comment wondering whether "Chicken of the Sea" tuna was actually chicken, Simpson has maintained a favorable public opinion and a high recognition factor among the public.
Her awareness is 91% among males and females 18 to 34 years old, the story says, citing data from Q Scores Co. "It’s top-tier awareness,” said Henry Schafer, executive vice president of Q Scores.
