ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Dominates Monday Ratings

Airing against mostly repeats on the other broadcast networks, ABC’s two-hour “Dancing With the Stars” dominated the Monday night ratings, powering the Alphabet Network to a big win, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.

ABC averaged a 4.5 rating for the night in the 18-49 demo, well ahead of CBS (1.9 average), Univision (1.7), Fox (1.3) and NBC (1.2). In total viewers, ABC averaged 19.1 million to 6.2 million for CBS, 5.6 million for NBC, 4.4 million for Fox and 4.3 million for Univision.

At 8 p.m. hour one of "Dancing" averaged a 4.65 in the 18-49 demographic. At 8:30, CBS’s "Mad Love" logged a 2.1 in the 18-49 demo, while NBC’s "All Together Now" special managed a 0.95 in the same demo for the full hour.

At 9 p.m. "Dancing" averaged a 5.5 in the 18-49 demo for the hour, besting NBC’s "The Event" with a 1.2 in the same demo for the hour.

The 10 p.m. hour was a win for ABC’s "Castle" with an average of 3.3 in the 18-49 demographic; NBC’s "Harry’s Law" had a mean score of 1.55 in the same demo for the hour.
